2022 Hyundai Tucson Plug-In Hybrid | New Features

The 2022 Hyundai Tucson Plug-In Hybrid is different from the gas models. How different? Watch and find out!

Hey everyone it’s brian from pointe hills hyundai in today’s video we’re going to be taking a look at the plug-in hyundai tucson now this is a new vehicle so we’re going to be going over some of the differences in the display and some of the new features that you can see inside your entertainment system so taking a look at the touchscreen or entertainment system

On the car now you’ll notice that on the regular gas version it’ll have all the same features but because this is a plug-in you do get the nice phev feature so we’re gonna go over what comes in that uh in that feature so by pressing on the screen here you’ll see that the screen now changes to give you a little bit more information on your plug-in hybrid things

Like charge management time energy information the type of driving that you’ve been doing and the energy flow how the car distributes the power and electricity so by just clicking for example on the energy information you’ll see exactly how it spreads out so you have a total range of 52 miles right now on the vehicle 48 of that is gasoline 4 is all electric

Power now the battery it says it’s at 30 percent so it also gives you the estimated time as far as how long it would take to charge um the two types of charges that they offer you’ll notice that the 240 volt obviously being a more powerful battery you’re gonna get a much shorter charging time at an hour and 40 minutes this one using the 120 volt which is the

Standard home ball just like a regular plug-in at your wall that one is almost 10 hours at 9 hours 30 minutes so you can see the big difference in both but the nice thing is that it gives you the ability to know that way if you want to stop at a charging station or what have you you can do that there and find out how roughly how long it’ll take now moving on

To charge management time uh this is something that’s a little bit more of a settings feature you would set that up for when you get to a certain place and you start to charge you have a certain time frame or a time limit that you want to set on yourself so it allows you to change the different settings on the charger as well uh in case of some kind of uh time

Frame issue now you have the eco driving as well which just shows you the top or you could say the consistency of your mpg using the both the electric motor use and the hybrid which is just the regular motor use along with that it also shows you the history as far as your driving habits and the mpg that you got on the car so that’s really nice to know last thing

Like we said before is the energy flow so this just kind of gives you a detailed picture image if you will of how your vehicle is using and changing the power and distributing it between the car from both the engine the battery the electric motor and the wheels so when the car is in an actual uh running mode you’ll notice that they will actually send arrows in

A certain direction when it’s charging it’ll send it towards the battery when it’s not charging and it’s using full power it’ll send it towards the motor or the wheels and so forth and so on so that is a nice new feature that you have to look at when you own a plug-in hybrid which again is the plug-in hybrid mode all right guys thank you so much for watching
