Hey guys this is sam here with south hills lincoln today i want to talk to you about the 2022 navigator does it have a v8 there’s a lot of picking and choosing and comparing between engine cylinder amounts and for full-size luxury suvs i want to talk specifically about that in this video the quickest answer to this question is no and in this video i’m going to
Explain to you guys why that’s so astonishing okay so in the past few decades makes have put a lot of emphasis on efficiency and dematerialization to make more powerful and advanced engines that don’t sacrifice as much gas mileage but the smaller these engines get the more you might hear that someone doesn’t want a v6 in a full-size suv or truck they want a v8
But what if the v6 has just as much if not more power than the v8 what if it has better mileage the lincoln navigator this year is competing with of course the cadillac escalade the jeep grand wagoneer and the enchan and the infinity qx80 the thing about the navigator is that it’s the only one that does not have a v8 it has a v6 it’s a twin turbo however so it
Comes with 440 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque that’s more powerful than the escalade and the qx80 if you’re only comparing these four vehicles the only one that has more power is the grand wagoneer but if you do go with the grand wagoneer you’re gonna be sacrificing mileage it has the lowest mileage no matter which of the two engines you pick and the
Diesel escalade that option has better mileage but it’s a diesel which defeats the purpose of looking for something with higher mileage when you really look at the numbers guys and by the way this is all just comparing 4×4 so this is just four wheel drive mileages are different typically not too different but they’re a little bit different with two-wheel drive
